Activity
Google Earth can be installed easily from the website. You may choose to download the app onto your desktop or using the website. You may also like to install the app onto your iPad, phone or tablet. This software allows you to explore the world at the touch of a button. In order to define a coordinate, click the yellow pin in the top left hand corner, and drag the pin to your desired position. This will then give the coordinate of the location of the pin. Try this with the activity below.

1. Using two devices (one for the parent, one for the child) download and install Google Earth and make sure both parties are in Google Earth.
2. One person explain a street number and street from anywhere around the world. Pick a building, cafe or person as a focus point, and the other try and find the coordinates of that feature in Google Earth.
3. Take turns completing this activity. Once you are used to the idea, time each other and see who can find the other person's chosen landmark the fastest.
